Morris is a small fall/winter collection that compares texture and shape by taking traditional garments and warps them into forms influenced by the bending of wood.
Various principles of the Arts and Crafts Movement combined with the concept of bending wood provide inspiration in creating the individual structures. This collection concentrates on quality and delves into techniques including laser cutting and machine knitting.
In an attempt to push the boundaries of what elements in each look could be handmade, I explored a variety of processes to make custom fabric and notions. All of the wooden elements were either hand cut or laser cut from plywood. I also machine knit yardage, felted and dyed it in order to create the two sweaters.
